• FULLERTON Celebrates The Rails
Here in the Crescenta Valley we forget the vast
Train transportation history we have had
and continue to have that serves commerce and
passengers daily in our State, most of us are in our
vehicle structured life and we forget about all this.
So, we go out to Orange County
off the 91 Fwy is Fullerton,
right near the only SoCal Sonic Drive-In,
which brings together Rail Enthusiasts
yearning for the Train Experience.
Fullerton RailRoad Days in
May 2008 gives the 'fix' when it comes
to Trains, Model Trains and because the
event is held by the actual
Fullerton Train Depot, the big
surprise is seeing Passenger and Freight Trains
running by on their regular schedules.

Up here in Sunland Tujunga we have been very aware of brush fire
danger but who thought the Concrete Jungle would be vulnerable?
Going to my afternoon tutoring job I saw this brush fire
next to the 110 Fwy on Temple St. The LAFD Fire Inspector
driving by spotted the event, called for Station 4, continued
to suppress the fire until Engine 4's pulled up to finish the job.
I filmed this on my digital still camera.

The former Mortuary and recently an Adult Day Care Center,
will be adding space and renovating to be a City run Adult Day
Care Center AND after school for special education students...
I STILL DO NOT KNOW
why the "Valley Village" moniker...

( BY THE WAY, originally NoHo ).
Is that NoHo Park?
Ummmm, No it is Sunland Park.
Then, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ...
YOU are CONFUSED, me too ?
The building being renovated across
from SUNLAND PARK had been
a Mortuary for many years, and recently was
a small private school.
AND this IS in SUNLAND.
Obviously there is going an
" ACTIVITY CENTER ",
and again,
WHAT IS " THAT " ?
( by the way I have NOT found any info
about this on the internet, yet I see
it is ''4 kids', anyway I'll be on my quest
using the 'phone' to find out more )
