St. Noho

a native's eye on
Sunland Tujunga and North Hollywood

GRAND OPENING WEEK:
My Introduction
___________________________________________________

Noho is where I grew up, went to school and is in the
San Fernando Valley, while Sunland Tujunga is where
my children grew up and went to school and it is in the
northern part of the Crescenta Valley next to Glendale .

No, this is not a Wendy Greuel site but is where I live,
which is her Council District.
My adolescent years were spent in North Hollywood,
then 30 years in Sunland Tujunga
and now I'm back in Noho
at the house I started at, taking care of my Mom.

I still have legal residence in Sunland Tujunga thus I am
I always SEEING WHAT IS HAPPENING in both areas of
the Los Angeles City. I have many stories and photos
OLD & NEW about these wonderful areas of
Southern California NorthEast of DownTown.

LOOK AT the pic above you will see
OUR WONDERFUL NOHO METRO STATION.
While the underground Subway is fantastic, clean, artsied-up,
the outside areas are full of dirt & debris, and as WE SEE HERE
there is no wait seating as hundreds of riders come up the Subway
to get other bus lines; yes, across the street the Orange Line
has seating as we see in the station pic below.

AND we also see ONE OF MY PET PEEVES...
EXCLUSIVE TO NOHO my HomeTown,
the bike guys on the sidewalks.
This is something I will be documenting further.

Noho is about 650 feet above sea level
while ST goes from 1500 to 2000, my
home up there is at about 1600 feet.















Now we see Tujunga Canyon from Foothill blvd. on the west end
looking in the far east we see new developments -in the forground
the new Angeles National Golf Club and far out there new housing
on the Mt. Gleason foothills.

OUR GOVERNATOR in his last epic FILMED in
SUNLAND TUJUNGA, right on the border of the two
cities at Foothill & Mt. Gleason. -TERMINATOR 3 !

Okay, this is the City, Los Angeles, Ca.
the beach is in the bottom south-west, DownTown
east of that and north is the San Fernando Valley
up around the 170 fwy is Noho and east where you
see the 210 fwy is Sunland Tujunga.

Hollywood, but 'usedtah stilliz' a motorcycle maven's dream.
